Demonstrating her remarkable vocal range throughout the US, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean, Ms. Powell has also recorded a national McDonald’s advertisement and can be seen and heard in the films Marie or The Bachelor.  She earned the title of Entertainer of the Year, Performing Arts/Music Award and Jazz Artist of the Year by the National Association for Campus Activities and has worked with or opened for artists such as Lou Rawls, B.J. Thomas and The Crusaders.  In regards to opening for the legendary Ray Charles, The Washington Post read, “She stole the night from a legend.”

Backed by piano, bass and drums, Jane L. Powell brings her music flexibility, spicy sense of humor, playful personality and unique touch to classic R&B, jazz standards, reggae grooves and gospel anthems.
